WE ARE THE WARRIORS!!! HEEEE!!!!!

Freakin awesome. The first time the number 8 team has ever beaten the first placed team in the 10 year history of the Mcintyre playoff system that that has happened.

I'm so stoked. Jumpin round the house, making my daughter cry, annoying my wife. Good times.

The playoff system is really, really silly with too many unfair anomalies and a format that makes it difficult to understand.

They should just go with the AFL format where 1 plays 4, 2 plays 3, and the winners get week 2 off. 5 plays 8, 6 plays 7 and the losers are eliminated. The winners progress to week 2.

You would get 4 games that are relatively even and its simple as hell to understand with no real possibility of "unfair" matchups in week 2.

Anyway, something to worry about for next year.

We're off to week 2!!!!

Pfft...

Apparently the Storm are back next week too.

As much as it pains me to say it (and it does) I now freely and fully admit I was completely and utterly wrong earlier this year as to my estimation of the Warriors' sporting abilities.

And yes, they have done much better than my beloved Doggies (who, to be honest, have had all the appeal of a dog turd congealing on a sidewalk).

However I remain resolutely, and staunchly, NOT a Warriors fan.

(yes I am a bad loser. But to be fair I am also a bad winner too)

;-)

Random,

I started backing the Storm in their first year for 4 reasons.

1. They were no the Worriers.
2, I like Melbourne.
3. I liked the idea of a league side coming from a city who can't even spell it.
4. I knew a team from such a city would bond better than the Warriors.

Never too late.

Oh buggar off. I'm going to start supporting Adelaide United.

Nup, they're an Aussie based side. Can't do it.
