So let me get this straight...
Going in to the Second Test against England, NZ has brought in Papps in place of the injured McMillan, and is playing the injured Oram as a specialist batsman. Well, they'd better hope that Oram's side injury doesn't flare up on, say, the first morning, and prevent him from batting as well ... why you'd knowingly select a crocked player beats me.
Anyway, here's a few reasons why England won't be shaking in their white boots:
Papps - 86 runs in his 6 test innings at an average of 17.2 (incl. 3 dismissals under 10)
Fleming - 163 runs in his last 10 test innings at an average of 18.1 (incl. 5 dismissals under 10)
Vettori - 8 wickets in his last 10 innings at an average of 85.3 (incl. 5 innings of more than 10 overs without a wicket).
